There are two common gear processing methods, profiling processing and generating processing. Generating processing is also called generating processing.
1. Profiling processing. In gear processing, the cutter cuts out the gear slot, and the section profile of the cutter is the profile of the gear slot. (5) Toothing of cold beating machine: it can be processed without chips;
2. The generating method of gear processing mainly includes gear hobbing and gear shaping:
(1) Gear hobbing machine: it can be used to process helical gears with a modulus below 8;
(1) Gear slotting machine: capable of machining internal teeth;
(2) Gear shaving machine: It is a kind of metal cutting for gear finishing.
(3) Gear shaper: can process 16 module big gear
The difference between the two processing methods is:
1. The machining precision of profiling method is not as high as that of generating method, and the machining precision of generating method can reach level 3;
2. The production efficiency of profiling method will be higher than that of generating method;
3. The generating method requires gear grinding equipment to process, and the production cost will be higher than the profiling method.
